A Pocket Full of Testimonies

We just had our Stake Activity Day last week and A Pocket Full of Testimonies was our theme.

We divided the girls into 4 groups:

1- Learn/Live the Gospel - (Name That Hymn) game

2- Prepare For Young Women - We had some Laurels come and talk to the girls about how to prepare and what to expect when they go into Young Women's.

3- Articles of Faith - Concentration game.  We mixed up parts of the articles and they had to match and memorize as a team in order to get a point.

4- Developing Talents - (craft)  The girls decorated a denim pocket with a strap made from the side seam or they could put heavy duty magnets on the back.  This was so they could put them in their lockers or hang them up.  They decorated  with puff paints and craft foam pieces.  They really had fun and the pockets turned out really cute.

Because of time, the girls were encouraged to go home and write their testimonies on a piece of paper and put in the pocket they made.  After the groups had all rotated through, we had a couple who had just returned from their mission, talk to the girls about their testimonies.  The full activity took about an hour and 20 minutes.
