You're a Star
Idea by Kris Kraft

We are doing our recognition this week. The parents are involved in this because we asked them each to tell us a special quality or talent that there girl had. We then made name tag necklaces out of foam rubber sheets in the shape of a star. We put there special talent on the back. We are going to make it a guessing game. We will go through each star and read the back. What girl is great at helping with her sisters? What girl has played the piano for three years? etc. Then they will all guess, and when they get it correct we will have that girl come forward and get her name tag, plus a certificate that says "You're a Star" with info on it about the goals she has completed. There are several variations on this theme. We are using "star" sugar cookies for a treat and give them a "star spotlight" certificate with there talents and accomplished goals listed to take home.  We are also going to have them bring some of the stuff that we did to complete their goals.
