Cemetery Scavenger Hunt
Idea by Sally Meyer

I made up a "scavenger hunt" for a cemetery for a Family Home Evening one time. I have lost it now, but it will be easy enough to redo. They will be in 2 teams and have to find all of the things on the list (things like, a person who died when they were 40 years old, or someone who died in a given year, a funny epitaph, 4 people with the same last name buried next to each other.) Anyway, when we are through, we will go to the Paupers section of the cemetery and clean headstones as a service. We did this as a family and the kids have never forgotten it. It helped them not to be scared by cemeteries.
