While most boys are involved in scouting and the girls are involved in the Faith in God program, there are still many places around the world that the boys and girls work together.  Many have asked, "What can I do for the boys??"  Many of the activities on this site can be adapted to the needs of both...however, I am requesting your help.  Do you have any activities, specifically with the boys that might benefit someone else??  What have you found successful?? Any suggestions or helps??  This page will be dedicated to your ideas.  E-mail me and share your ideas...

One time the boys were split off from the girls and were able to make a from wood a tool box or a pencil box.   Two men from the ward bought a electric saw and hammer, drill and screws and glue and they taught our boys how to make tool boxes.  The men had some of the shapes already cut up and helped the boys put them together and then cut up some handles or extras that the boys needed.  The boys just loved it. (Idea by Trish - Australia, Brisbane)

One thing both my parents did when they were youth leaders was have a mission preparation. They taught both the boys and girls: how to mend clothing, cook meals (that were good for them), budget, shop for food with out spending a lot.  Both the boys and girls loved it.  At the end of the meeting they tasted all the food that was made.   (Idea by Rebekah in Phoenix, AZ)

Fill balloons with water soluble paint. Fill half with red and the other with blue paint. Ensure to instruct everyone to wear old clothes and bring a change of clean cloths with them. Divide the boys into 2 teams - the red and blue team. To identify the teams give each an inexpensive T-shirt or bandana round their heads in their team color. Create a strip of no mans land - you don't want the boys to be too close when they throw. They must try hit members of the opposite team with the balloons. When a boy is hit he sits out. The winning team is the one with the most un-marked boys.  You can also play a drier version of this game with flour balls. Place baking flour in nylon stockings and tie them off. As the flower balls hit someone they leave a white mark, this person then sits out. The members need to wear dark clothing as you won't have two colors to distinguish between the teams.

I am doing activity nights for my primary and the only boy that goes to it is my son...  Some of the things I have done is instead of the prayer teddy bear, I went to Wal-Mart and picked up some of the plaster bugs that they have to paint and I also picked up some that the girls would like and had them paint them and then had them paste the prayer poem on a stick and glue it to the back of the bug ( in my sons case) so the girls had their prayer bear and he had his prayer bug....  I am also going to have them do the cross stitch that came in the friends for the month of February but instead of having him cross stitch I will have him do it with the puff paint art and decorate it on material how he wants instead of sewing..
