Easter Bracelets
- I bought a couple of packages of plastic beads, some stretchy bracelet
string and some superglue (which I have heard will keep the bracelets from
coming untied) I am giving them little cards tied with rainbow ribbon that
say Rainbow of Faith Bracelet. Pink-reminds us we are daughters of our
Heavenly Father; Yellow-is for the light of the Gospel; Red-reminds us of
the blood Jesus shed for us; Green-represents Jesus' resurrection;
Blue-reminds us of our baptism; Clear-represents purity; Purple-is to remind
us of our eternal nature. My girls love to do projects and I find that when
their hands are busy, they remember what we are talking about much better
than if I just talk at them. We'll talk about what each color means while
they put them together. If we have time left over I am having them make a
little Easter card that they can give to someone. The next time we meet I am
going to do an object lesson on Easter and why it's important to remember
what Easter is truly about. We had our activity and it filled about half of
the time, but I had an Easter card for them to make and a thank you card to
sign so we had just enough to keep us busy! (Idea by Christy Smedley /

Preparing for Easter - I am going to show them the "Easter
in Eggs" demonstration
and have them make it to share with their families. I am going to start now
to collect some of the things so they can have their own set of eggs. When
it gets close to Easter, you can find these eggs very inexpensively,
especially the smaller ones. (Idea by Sally Meyer)
