Talent Show

Our activity girls  wanted to act!  So, we decided to put on a talent show. It was originally designed with the elderly and widowed, etc, in mind but everyone in the ward was invited. We started getting ready in September by making homemade, stamped invitations, and rehearsing weekly. We used a lot of the skits from the zoom playhouse website and some others that I had from my earlier drama days. The kids made and/or gathered their own props and we rehearsed each week or every other week until the performance in January. It was a big hit! They loved it and so did the parents and other ward members who attended.  They were able to pass several tasks off as they gained new talents, provided service, etc. This would be  a great way to get other non-member, less active friends involved.
